Ask Brian a QuestionEither works. We're a premium Havwoods supplier and can source pretty much any wood floor you'd want. Many customers prefer us to handle supply because we know exactly what works and how much you'll need — but if you've already bought your floor, we're more than happy to fit it.
It depends on the size of the room and condition of the subfloor. As a guide, a hall-dining-living-room herringbone install is usually 5–8 working days including subfloor preparation, fitting and finishing. We'll give you a clear timeline at quote stage.
Yes — but we'd specify an engineered wood floor rather than solid. Engineered boards are far more dimensionally stable across temperature changes, which is exactly what UFH demands. We've fitted plenty of engineered herringbone over UFH and it performs beautifully.
Yes. We're based in Manchester and work across the North West as standard, and nationally on a regular basis when the project warrants it. Many of our customers are repeat clients who've moved house and brought us along.
Because the single biggest cause of failed wood floors is poor preparation. An uneven, damp or dirty subfloor will show up as squeaks, gaps, cupping or even adhesive failure within a year or two. We screed, level and damp-proof as standard — it's not an extra, it's how we work.
